Dr. Scott Wigginton
(Ph.D., Th.M., M.Div., The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; B.A., Western Kentucky University) Dr. Scott Wigginton currently serves full-time as Professor of Pastoral Ministries & Counseling as well as MMFT Main Campus Liaison at Campbellsville University where he has been since 2004. He also serves as Executive Director of Winterpast Counseling, Inc. which he started in February 2022. A licensed marriage and family therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor, Dr. Wigginton served from 2006 through 2022 as Counseling Pastor and Director of Lighthouse Counseling Center at Campbellsville Baptist Church. Prior to that he served from 1987 until 2004 as Executive Director of LifeCare Counseling Center and Counseling Minister at Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, Kentucky. While there, he also taught Christian Counseling both full-time and adjunctively at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and Boyce College. Dr. Wigginton recently completed his first book, Adventures to Godliness: Filling the Hole in Your Bucket List, which deals with the role of adventure in spiritual formation. The book is scheduled for release in summer 2022. He has been married to Elizabeth since 1986 and they are the proud parents of Auburn, Hope, and Caleb. He enjoys preaching and leading leadership retreats and marriage and family enrichment conferences with his lovely wife. Leading students on international mission trips and study abroad experiences has been a great delight. Dr. Wigginton has enjoyed a lifetime of experiencing and teaching about God through travel adventures which include bicycling across America from coast to coast and throughout Western Europe, climbing Mount Rainier and Mount St. Helens, playing basketball with Athletes in Action in South America, hiking across the Grand Canyon, and lots of international travel on six continents including his favorite, Australia. His greatest adventure, however, is teaching and mentoring students and experiencing God’s working in everyday lives, marriages, and families. Download CV
