BSN, RN   Mrs. Schmitt is an alumna of Campbellsville University, graduating from the second class of the Campbellsville University School of Nursing in 2009. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree from McKendree University in 2014. Her nursing career has been focused on Medical-Surgical care and Telemetry. She obtained a certification in Medical-Surgical Nursing in 2015 from the ANCC- American Nurses Credentialing Center. She found her love of education while taking students to clinical and assisting in-house education at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital. Her career with the Campbellsville University School of Nursing began as a clinical instructor in 2017, and she ultimately joined as a full-time faculty member in 2019.  Mrs. Schmitt has assisted with teaching in the Associate Degree Nursing Program in the Medical-Surgical courses by overseeing the lab and clinical portion of the courses. She has also worked closely with students through their practicum in their last semester of the program at both the main campus and Harrodsburg campuses.  She is now a full-time faculty member within the newly developed Practical Nursing Program through Campbellsville University, located in the Central Kentucky Career Academy. Her love for patient care continues through working at the bedside as a Registered Nurse.   Mrs. Schmitt is also a member of the Kentucky Nurses Association (KNA) and a faculty advisor for KANS (Kentucky Association of Nursing Students).
