Download CV Dr. Early is the Director of Research and Creative Scholarship at Campbellsville University, Campbellsville, Kentucky. He is also the professor of Church History, Theology, and Ethics. He is active in The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges and has served on several reaffirmation teams. Dr. Early is the author of nine books, two manuals, and numerous peer-reviewed journal articles. He recently completed his latest book, Because of Eve: Historical and Theological Survey of the Subjugation of Women in the Christian Tradition. Dr. Early is currently writing a biography loosely titled Elijah Craig: Baptist Minister, Entrepreneur, and Father of Bourbon. He is a popular speaker at historical conferences around the country. Dr. Early earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Cumberland College (1992), a Master of Divinity degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (1997), and his Ph.D. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (2002). He is married to Tiffany, a doctoral student at the University of South Carolina, and has two Maltese puppies named Freddie and Knox. He is a big fan of CU Lady Tigers basketball, Tennessee Vol football, and the Atlanta Braves.
