Ph.D., The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; M.Div., The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary; B.A., Middle Tennessee State University Dr. Twyla Hernández is Professor of Christian Missions at Campbellsville University and enjoys training students for the global missionary field of the 21st century.  She began her missions career serving in Argentina and has served in many other countries .  Upon returning to the United States, her ministry has focused on Hispanic church planting and being the President of the Hispanic Baptist Bible Institute.  In this role she oversees the training of Hispanic leaders here in the United States and in other countries, including seven Institutes in Cuba.  She received her Ph.D. in 2005 from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  She regularly presents papers at academic society meetings and has written chapters in several books, was quoted in Christianity Today regarding her work in Cuba, and recently published a new book, Bridgebuilding between Latino and Anglo Congregations.
