Allison L. Wittum, Dr.

Dr. Allison Wittum is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Campbellsville University . She received a B.A. In Psychology from Christopher Newport University,  and a  M.A. And Ph.D. In School Psychology at University of South Carolina.  

After completing her doctoral degree, she worked as a school psychologist for five years at public school districts in Kentucky and South Carolina. During her work within the school system, she evaluated students for special education services and 504 plans, developed academic and behavioral intervention programs, and provided emotional/behavioral supports to school-aged children and adolescents. Dr. Wittum also has experience working in private practice conducting neuropsychological assessments with children and adolescents.  Her areas of current clinical interest include the assessment of children and adolescents with attentional difficulties, autism spectrum disorder, specific learning disorders, and emotional/behavioral difficulties. Dr. Wittum is a certified school psychologist and licensed psychologist (#282191) in the state of Kentucky. 

Dr. Wittum's research interests include the assessment of neurodevelopmental disorders, executive function development, social-emotional learning, and strategies for improving the recruitment and retention of school psychologists. Her dissertation focused on identifying patterns of cognitive and academic weaknesses among individuals with specific learning disorders and evaluating a framework (I-AIM) for the assessment of specific learning disorders.
