Daniel Hall is the Technical Director and an Assistant Professor with Campbellsville University. Daniel received his MFA in Theater with a focus in Technical Direction from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a BA in Theater with a minor in Psychology from University of the Ozarks. He has been recognized for excellence in Technical Direction and Sound Design by the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. He is a member of the United States institute of Theater Technology and is active in the Southeastern Theater Conference. Selected technical direction credits include Romeo and Juliet, Sondheim Tribute Revue, Coriolanus, The Book of Will, and Sylvia. Daniel believes that no one should be scared to pick up a power tool and try making something. Every great artist started with a blank canvas, a solid block of stone, or just an idea. Theater technicians are no different, whether it’s hanging a light, painting a floor, or building a set, we are all artists. Picking up the wrench, paintbrush, or saw is the first step.
