Alia McClendon has worked with several community theatres and local high schools theatre programs over the years. She has been working with young theatre artist for the last five years and has experience in costume design and voice. Some of her previous credits include Macbeth, Secret Garden, Little Shop of Horrors, Oliver!, Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind and A Year With Frog and Toad KIDS. She believes theatre is about storytelling and being able to transform an audience to a different time and place. Alia believes that a story can be told through costumes, as easily as words being emoted from a script, that every technical element transforms the space and can take an audience on an adventure. That level of exploring needs to be taught to young theatre artist because they are the future.
