State Representative Sarge Pollock to speak at chapel

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Sarge Pollock, state representative for the 51st District, which includes Marion and Taylor counties, will discuss the topic of “community” at Campbellsville University's chapel service at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 19, in Ransdell Chapel, 401 N. Hoskins Ave., Campbellsville, Ky.

“Michael ‘Sarge' Pollock is an amazing community member and friend who knows and understands the campus community as well,” Jamie Lawrence, the university's executive director of ministry and church outreach, said. “Sarge will share some special memories of CU and how community is important both on and off of campus.”

Pollock has been serving as a state representative since 2021. A 1984 graduate of Breckinridge County High School, Pollock earned his Bachelor of Science degree in physical education and health in 1989 from Campbellsville College. While at Campbellsville, Pollock played baseball and basketball, and he served as president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

A longtime Campbellsville resident, Pollock has previously served as assistant vice president at Taylor County Bank and director of alumni/parent relations at Campbellsville University. He currently works at Jessie Insurance Agency.

Pollock is married to two-time Campbellsville University graduate Susan Bishop Pollock, and they have two daughters: MeLeigha and Reagan, and two grandchildren. He is a member of Campbellsville Baptist Church.

Chapel is designed to provide opportunities for corporate worship and exposure through various informative speakers and presentations.

The public is invited to all chapels this semester.
