CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Campbellsville University will feature works by Chelsea Adams of Hodgenville Ky., through March 31 at The Pence-Chowning Art Gallery, 205 University Drive, Campbellsville, Ky.

Adams, in her senior exhibit, will show art pertaining to graphic design, drawing, oil painting, and ceramics.

Adams said the works you see at the exhibit represent the journey she had throughout her learning experience at Campbellsville University. “When I explore different types of work I really feel connected to everything I created,” she said.

“As far as my artwork goes, I don't ever focus on one medium in particular,” Adams said.

“Some pieces turned out better than others but overall I really enjoyed working and building with my hands to tell a story or show specific emotions,” she said.

A reception will be in Adams honor at the gallery Wednesday, March.29 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. The public is invited to the reception and exhibit.

Adams will graduate in May with Bachelors in Graphics design with a minor in sociology. She is a graduate of LaRue County High School in Hodgenville, Ky.

“I really feel I have fine tuned my graphic work, that not to say I can't improve I know I can and constantly strive to improve my work and portfolio,” Adams said.

Adams said as someone who has always been interested in graphics she was excited to start learning when she got to Campbellsville University. She had never done anything like it before, so it was a new experience for her. “I still have a long way to go and will always need to learn but when I look back on my earlier projects I see a big difference in my creative side and detailed execution,” Adam, said.

The gallery is open during the following hours: Mondays, 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and noon until 5:50 p.m.; Tuesdays, 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and noon until 4 p.m.; Wednesdays, 9 a.m. until 5:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. and noon until 5:30 p.m. and Fridays, 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.
