CU employs Dr. Tami Cloherty as assistant professor of biology

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. - Dr. Tami Cloherty has been employed at Campbellsville University as assistant professor of biology, according to an announcement from Dr. Michael V. Carter, president of Campbellsville University.

Cloherty earned her bachelor's degree in biology from Smith College in Northampton, Mass. in 1992, and went on to earn her master of arts for teaching at Manhattanville College in New York in 1997. She received a second master's degree from Southern Connecticut State in 2004. In 2011 she earned her doctorate in biology from the City University of New York Graduate Center.

She has held positions at Lehman College from 2008 to 2009 and Norwalk Community College in 2012.

Cloherty was a member of the Ecological Society of America from 2008 to 2011, and a member of the Society for Freshwater Science from 2010 to 2012.

Cloherty co-authored the article, “Physical and Chemicals Affecting Benthic Macro-Invertebrates in Four Lakes,” published in the Journal of Freshwater Biology in December 2011.
