CU community members, students perform in ‘A Christmas Carol’

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky.—Campbellsville University Theater and Town Hall Productions will present “A Christmas Carol” at Campbellsville University's Russ Mobley Theater in the Alumni Building, 114 University Drive, Campbellsville.

Show times are as follows: Dec. 5 at 7 p.m.; Dec. 7 at 2:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; Dec. 8 at 2:30 p.m.; Dec. 14 at 2:30 p.m.; Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m.

The ticket price for general admission is $10; senior citizen (65 and older) tickets are $7 and children 12 and under are $5.

This Christmas classic was written by Charles Dickens and published in 1843. It is a tale of greed, regret charity, hope and ultimately redemption. An adaptation by Ed Monk is being presented through arrangements with Playcripts.com.

During this classic tale the main character, Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts who attempt to show him the error of his ways. Scrooge's life is filled with loneliness, selfishness and greed. The ghosts point out these downfalls to Scrooge and try to change the way he is living his life.
