Campbellsville University to Host Editor of Western Recorder

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. -Trennis Henderson, editor of the Kentucky Baptist Western Recorder, will be the chapel/convocation speaker at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8 at the Powell Athletic Center.

Henderson has served as editor of the Western Recorder since 1999. A professional Christian journalist for more than 20 years, he previously worked with state Baptist newspapers in Arkansas and Missouri.

Henderson is a graduate of School of the Ozarks in Branson, Mo., and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville.

A member of the Baptist World Alliance's Freedom & Justice Commission, he also has served as national president of both the Association of State Baptist Papers and Baptist Communicators Association. He is a recipient of the University of the Cumberlands' 2006 Moral Leadership Awards.

Henderson has earned journalism, photography and design awards from Associated Church Press, Baptist Communications Association and Evangelical Press Association.

Henderson and his family are members of Crestwood Baptist Church in Oldham County where he serves as a deacon and Bible study leader. His wife, Pam, is director of Crestwood Baptist's Weekday Preschool ministry.
